Before we get to the ways you can find your passion, keep this in mind: you are the only one capable of realizing what you want. I know the task may sound daunting. So here’s a list of tips and tricks that will make your journey so much easier!

Examine your books, magazines, favorite songs, and tv shows. Are there any recurring themes?

What topics do you find yourself returning to again and again? What are you already spending your time on? Check-in with your heart and body as much as possible, rather than your head. Figure out what makes you “light up,” not what others think should.

Is there anything you already enjoy doing?

Think. What do you like? Soccer? Volleyball? Does painting your little sister’s nails warm your heart? Or cooking k bbq? Are you truly happy when looking after your friends’ and families’ pets? Maybe you love, just love reading and books in general. You could open a bookstore or even become a writer!

Passion is a mix of intense yet delicate feelings! Fear could be excitement in disguise! Hate may actually be an intense love for something!

That is why, when considering these questions, it is important to direct your attention to your heart and physical body. What is it telling you? So make sure to analyze your feelings carefully because, who knows, your perfect career might be hiding right under your nose!

Stop talking and start doing!

Know what you want? Great! Go get it!

Now that you understand your passion and have figured out what you want to do go out and DO IT! Of course, do some research, and gather up a business plan if required, but do not use “I need to prepare more” as an excuse.

It’s scary (trust me, I know) to put yourself out into this completely different setting than what you are used to, but if you want to succeed and follow your dreams, you have to get off the couch to actually chase after them.

Comfort is the adversary of passion and it can be dangerous. It keeps you from achieving your goals and pursuing your ambitions. Don’t let it hold you back. Step out of that oppressing box and be true to your desires even if it terrifies you. JUST DO IT.

There are thousands of professions out there for you to choose from. AT LEAST one will resonate with you.

Passions can be difficult to identify. But once you get that down, it’s smooth sailing. You can chase whatever you want because now you have real drive and real ambition. Who knows, maybe you’ll decide that insurance is your passion and even become an insurance agent!
